No, not lumps of wood. This is where the Character Logs are. A great way of keeping track of what all your characters are up to, and you don’t have to trawl through the accepted characters if you forget what they look like.
Peaks, capped in snow all year round cast abnormal and wonderful shadows on this ravine. It is a strange shape - roughly circular and surrounded by the highest mountains that have ever existed. A cascading waterfall plunges into a deep pool, which shines blue all year round, never freezing despite the bitterly cold temperatures that can occur there. Around the pool grows every plan imaginable and many that aren't. By the laws of nature the plants should not be there at all - many of them only normally grow where the sun shines with a burning brightness. The whole place seems to radiate with some fantastic power: the power of the True Wild.
This land cannot be claimed. It is, however, the central meeting place for all who chose to follow the Heart.
This range is massive, though that doesn’t mean much: most of it is covered in impossible sheer cliffs and ravines that seem to go down into the darkness forever. This is the vastest and tallest range of mountains in the known world and its highest peek, Saoirse Peak (once known as Wild Peak), is only accessible to the fittest animals. But if you can face the treacherous journey, the whole world will be spread before you… Due to the insufferably harsh mountain range, those who reside there tend to spend most of their time in the foothills, which are covered in dense oak forests. There is, though, always space for the odd loner or two to be wandering the range for their entire life without ever being discovered.

After a long imprisonment under the ground, the Realm’s greatest affinity is with the earth. It is for that reason that the central meeting place for the Thall is a network of caves, stretching miles into the side of a large knoll. Almost completely devoid of sunlight (there are some small hole in the roof of the cave network), very little can grow. Moss and lichen thrive, but in the deepest caverns there is nothing but the drip, drip, drip of icy water, and in some not even that. The main meeting cavern is spectacular, but only occasionally. When the full moon shines through a fissure in the roof, it illuminates the cave in a beautiful, and to some slightly eerie, light, magnified and reflected a thousand times by the shining water droplets hanging from stalactites and resting on stalagmites. A warning, though: stray too far from the beaten track in this earth labyrinth, and you could be lost down in the dark forever… if you last that long. This land cannot be claimed; it is a meeting place for all Thall, who side with the Realm
With the exception of a few clearings and glades, this land is kept in a perpetual dusk (unless it’s night) by the thick canopy. Oak, elder, pine, hawthorn and many more; over the years this forest has become an endless tangle of trees. It’s prime hunting country for those of wolf kind, and shelter as well as food for equines. The age of the forest gives it an aura of power and peace. Just pause to listen for a moment and the sound of trees creaking and animals scurrying will become obvious. Ironic that the architect of demise would chose somewhere so full of life to spread it’s influence… or maybe not. This age-old wood is in desperate need of pruning. In some places it is so overgrown that plants are viciously competing for space, a slow motion battle. In others, the canopy is so thick that nothing can grow below. Eventually, when they meet their fatality, as all things must, there will be only a barren patch where new trees should be.

This large island (once known as the Lost Island) is separated from the mainland by a narrow, yet fast flowing stretch of water. The treacherous waters have claimed many beasts, the strong current pulling them near the open ocean, and then dashing them against razor sharp rocks. It is certainly not a place that the old, young or weak can get to without the aid of those who can swim against the current. There is only one cove on the mainland from which it is possible to swim from, and that is little more than a narrow, pebbly shore surrounded on three sides by mountains and on one side by the sea. If you can make the crossing, the inside of the Isle is much more pleasant. Surrounded by steep cliffs (there are some zigzag paths winding round the isle so the flat top is accessible) and enclosed by a ring of trees, in the centre of the island there is a grassy clearing, about half a mile in diameter. This land cannot be claimed as it is the place of congregation for all Foirfe. Sovereign Wolf: Equine Royal:
As the name suggests, this is a land of silver. In the far south are mountains that, although they are barely half the height of the Mountains of Liberty are almost permanently snow-capped. In the late evening night, they can turn from crystal white to a shimmering gold. But even more magical is the effect of moonshine on the snow; the entire range is lit up in glistening silver light. But possibly even more magnificent are the foothills and the flat plains beyond. This is where the name truly comes from; the long, lush grasses and while flowers look like a sea of silver. The plains and hills are covered in a type of grass that has a unique silver sheen. The meadows are dotted with airy graves of silver birch trees that just add to it’s naming. Some say this land is perfect, others, too perfect.

As the name implies, this is not a land, but a boarder between the lands of the Foirfe, the Saoirse and the Thall. It is a meeting ground for horses and wolves of all alliances to socialise, talk, fight and find love. It stretches the width of the known lands, from the sea to the mountains. In the far west are the ocean and a golden beach. Made of beautifully soft gold sand, it is a favourite place for finding love, especially when the sun begins to sink into the sea and a pink light washes over the dunes. Further inland the dunes don’t stop: a vast sandy desert. Dotted with only a few oases, it has only one use – blood shed and settling old arguments. In places the sand runs red. Keep heading east and you’ll reach a scrubland, dotted with groves of hardy trees. The nearer you get to the rising sun, the softer and greener the grasses and trees become. Eventually the ground starts to slope and you are channelled into a wide green valley. These places are the places for chatting, making friends and making love. But beware, you wouldn’t want to get sucked in by someone of a difference alliance, would you? (you can’t hear the sarcasm in my voice)
